Connecting to the wifi
The simplest way is to use eduroam, if your university provides it for you.
If not, you should follow the below procedure once you are on site (you will need a mobile phone that can receive SMS):
1. Connect to WLAN “public” or “public-5”
2. A login page appears on your screen. Enter your mobile phone number. Accept the terms of use and click on “Request Access Code” to request a code.
3. An SMS will be sent to the given mobile number. This will contain your access code.
4. After receiving your code, enter it in the field “Your Access Code” and click “Submit Registration”.
5. You will now be connected to the internet.

What to bring with you
Consider bringing swim wear (it is common to swim in the crystal clear lakes and rives around Zurich) and sport shoes (there are nice walks and hikes around Zurich). If you do not like hiking but enjoy a good view, you can alternatively take the train up to the top of Uetliberg from where there is an excellent view of Zurich, the lake and the snow covered Alpine mountains.
